Workshop on Late Antique catacombs in South-Eastern Sicily

The workshop will take place at the JGU, Department of Christian Archaeology and
Byzantine Art History, and is organised within the framework of the Alexander von
Humboldt Foundation Institutspartnershaft between the Universities of Mainz and
Hradec Králové. The aim is gathering local and international partners and colleagues,
to present and discuss the results so far achieved during the archaeological
fieldwork at Scorrione, Modica (campaign 2020 and 2021), to plan future work, and to
exchange ideas in view of the next applications for research projects, to be
submitted in 2022.
